Board Member – Mr. Dermot Woods

Dermot is a senior staff officer with Cork City Council. He has worked as part of the Operation and Maintenance Management team at the Jack Lynch Tunnel for 16 years. He was responsible for key tunnel systems including SCADA, OHVD, ICT and ITS communication. He also supervised major upgrades to Tunnel system which included FAT’s, SAT’s and signing off on these upgrades. He successfully completed the Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing & Switching course in 2013 at CIT, He is now based at the Cork National Roads Office. Dermot was elected to the Board of ITS Ireland in 2018 and is specifically responsible for website maintenance and communications.
