CAVIMAS Bursary

ITS Ireland, the Road Safety Authority and Transport Infrastructure Ireland supported a research bursary for the School of Computer Science and Statistics, Trinity College Dublin.  The research explored the relationship between estimated rates of connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs) and both efficiency and safety using a comprehensive microsimulation model using demand patterns and volumes generated from Irish data sources.

Maxime Guériau and Ivana Dusparic published their paper entitled “Quantifying the impact of connected and autonomous vehicles on traffic efficiency and safety in mixed traffic” and we are delighted to share a copy of the publication which can be found here.
