British and Irish Chamber of Commerce Facilitated Trade Mission to North East of England
On Friday 22 November 2019, the British Irish Chamber of Commerce will undertake a one-day facilitated trade mission for businesses from Ireland to the North East of England to meet with matched businesses, institutions and organisations in the digital/tech, chemical, offshore and logistics sectors. During the course of the day, participants will meet with businesses in these sectors alongside key players in the region including Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen, Teesside University, the North East England Chamber of Commerce and select from visits to the North East of England Process Industry Cluster (NEPIC), the Centre for Process Innovation (CPI), Teesport and Middlesbrough’s Boho Zone. The visit will provide participants with a valuable opportunity to build post-Brexit trade links with a dynamic business region in the UK. Given the focus on tech and logistics, the British Irish Chamber of Commerce invites members of ITS Ireland and CAV Ireland to participate in this mission. The British Irish Chamber will not be charging for its services on this mission – as a facilitator of UK/Ireland trade opportunities for growth-seeking firms in both directions, they are happy to act as unpaid coordinator. /instead, participants are asked to contribute by paying for their own flights (Ryanair to Newcastle return currently costs around just €60) and making a small contribution of €60 to pay towards bus transfers to and from the various locations and for lunch on the day. The visit will also be a useful opportunity for your organisation to promote your business. The visit will use the following flights with Ryanair on Friday 22 November 2019:
- 09:45-10:55: Dublin – Newcastle
- 21.15-22.25: Newcastle-Dublin
