Official Launch of the 2013 European ITS Congress

Preparations for the 2013 European ITS Congress were officially launched at a special event hosted by ITS Ireland on Friday 27th January 2012 at the Convention Centre Dublin.

Proceedings were initiated by a ceremony whereby Hermann Meyer, ERTICO CEO, and David O’Keeffe, ITS Ireland Chair, formally signed the agreement for hosting the 9th European Intelligent Transport Systems Congress and Exhibition in Dublin in 2013. The signing ceremony was attended by Alan Kelly T.D., Minister of State for Public Transport, who has strongly supported ITS Ireland’s efforts in bringing this prestigious event to Dublin. This was followed by the launch meeting of the 2013 National Host Committee, comprising of representatives from a wide range of sectors within the ITS community in Ireland. The Host committee meeting discussed a number of areas towards maximising the benefits that the hosting of this prestigious event will bring to Ireland.
