Ireland’s Journey Planning goes Intermodal

A state-of-the-art Intermodal Journey Planning (IJP) service is being designed and developed for The National Transport Authority. The IJP service will provide the public and other transportation departments with information about alternative and optimum travel choices that are available throughout Ireland. It is intended that the IJP service shall offer door to door information featuring all options for travel for all citizens including information for customers with special requirements. The IJP service will include a variety and combination of modal choices including, long distance bus, local bus, tram, metro, train, taxi, rural transport schemes, local water based services, airlines serving national airports, ferry services, walking, cycling and park’n’ride, services

IBI Group are pleased to announce the award by the National Transport Authority of the provision of consultancy services to provide expert advice for the design and development of the Intermodal Journey Planning service. The service will be provided over three phases and will integrate with the existing transport operators systems and information.
